During the search in the area of an old church boarding school in the province of Alberta, Canada, 88 graves of children that are not in official records have been discovered.
A group of researchers led by Dr. Kesha Supernant of the University of Alberta has completed an investigation in the area of St. Bruno Boarding School, located approximately 335 kilometers northwest of the provincial capital, Edmonton.
Dr. Superintendent announced that 88 unrecorded graves were found in an area of 4500 square meters around the school.
District Superintendent Roderick Valier says he has never felt safer during his ten years at the boarding school.
The determination of unregistered children’s graves in areas of old boarding church schools in Canada first came to the fore on May 29, 2021, with the remains of 215 children found in a schoolyard in Kamloops, British Columbia.
