Aamir Khan’s iconic film “Rangeela” is set to return to cinemas after a nearly 30-year hiatus. The 1995 blockbuster will be re-released on November 28, offering audiences a nostalgic viewing experience.

This theatrical return will feature a new 4K HD restored version of the film. Viewers can now experience the classic with enhanced picture quality.

Directed by Ram Gopal Varma, “Rangeela” stars Aamir Khan, Urmila Matondkar, and Jackie Shroff in lead roles. It was originally a significant box office success.

The film, released in 1995, captivated audiences with its portrayal of urban aspirations and dreams. Its soundtrack, composed by A.R. Rahman, became highly popular.

“Rangeela” centers on a love triangle involving Mili (Urmila Matondkar), an aspiring actress, and Munna (Aamir Khan), an orphaned street vendor and her close friend. Their lives intertwine with Raj Kamal (Jackie Shroff), a famous actor who helps Mili pursue her acting career.

As Mili rises to stardom, both Munna and Raj Kamal develop feelings for her. This sets the stage for the film’s core romantic conflict.

Beyond its commercial success, “Rangeela” also garnered critical acclaim. It received several Filmfare Awards.

A.R. Rahman was honored with Best Music Director, Ram Gopal Varma for Best Story, and Jackie Shroff for Best Supporting Actor.
