14-year-old boy shot in La Paloma neighborhood of Montevideo, Uruguay

A 14-year-old boy was shot Monday afternoon in Montevideo’s La Paloma neighborhood. He’s out of danger now.
The teen was rushed to a hospital by a family member after being wounded. Doctors say he has a leg injury that fractured his femur, according to medical reports.
The shooting happened on Camino Cibils and La Boyada. The boy said he was walking from the Unidad Agroalimentaria Metropolitana when he heard a gunshot and realized he was hit. He didn’t want to report the incident.
This isn’t the first incident like this – just a day before, a 15-year-old boy was shot and killed in the Brazo Oriental neighborhood.
