ZTE Axon 40 Pro is official: 144 Hz screen and more

One of the trends for 2022 could be the new increase in the refresh rate on smartphones. Present only on some gaming smartphones at the moment, it seems that the 144 Hz refresh rate will begin to reach more ‘normal’ devices.

This Monday started with the launch of two new ZTE smartphones. They are called Axon 40 Ultra and Axon 40 Pro. In this article we tell you everything about the ZTE Axon 40 Pro, which stands out on the screen.

It has a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED panel, with Full HD+ resolution and the famous 144 Hz refresh rate. Added to this is a 360 Hz touch response rate and a maximum brightness of 1000 nits.

ZTE Axon 40 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 870 processor

The smartphone comes equipped with the Snapdragon 870 processor, with support for 5G and LPDDR 5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Added to this is MyOS 12 on Android 12.

In the camera sector we find a 108 MP main sensor, accompanied by an 8 MP ultra wide angle sensor and a 2 MP macro and depth sensor. The 16 MP front camera is placed in a central hole.

The terminal has a 5000 mAh battery, with a 66 W charge. Added to this is Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC. The terminal also has an in-display fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers.

ZTE Axon 40 Pro prices and availability

Presented for now only in China, the ZTE Axon 40 Pro reaches the national market for €423 in the 8GB + 128GB version. The 12GB + 256GB version costs €466 and the 12GB + 512GB variant starts at €536.

Sales begin on May 25 in China and it is expected to arrive in Europe in the coming months.
