Zelensky warns Russian troops in Ukraine: “You only have two options, flee or surrender”

The Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelenski, has warned this Monday both the Russian troops and their Ukrainian collaborators that "only have" the option to leave Ukraine or surrender, alluding to the counteroffensive carried out in the northeast of the country, "releasing" thus territory in which Russia was previously located.

"We warn that Russian soldiers in Ukraine have only two options: flee our land or surrender. The collaborators have similar choices: either they try to escape — and it remains to be seen whether Russia will let them enter its territory — or they will be sentenced under current law."Zelensky asserted in his evening speech.

In this regard, the Ukrainian president has announced that the Ukrainian troops are maintaining their positions in the Kharkov region, where Russian forces were located until recently.

However, the President of Ukraine thanked the country’s National Police for "quickly restore" law and order in the territory "just released".

He also thanked the Ukrainian security forces for their "remarkable efficacy" doing their job.

"I cannot reveal all the details, but thanks to the Security Service of Ukraine, we are now sure that the occupiers will not have any foothold on Ukrainian soil."Zelensky added.
