Zachary Levi Addresses Very Negative Feedback From Shazam: Rage of the Gods

The second adventures of Shazam were a gigantic fiasco for DC Movies. Product for an amount excluding marketing costs of $125 millionthe feature film by David F.Sandberg collected the very small amount of 133 million worldwide. Feedback was also mixed with 49% positive reviews on the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. At the same time, the film suffered the full force of the strategic reversal of DC Movies by the enthronement of James Gunn And Peter Safran. The new bosses have indeed decided to sacrifice some films that have already been completed – Shazam 2, Aquaman 2 and The Flashthe last vestiges of Snyderverseto look to the future, symbolized by Blue Beetle.

From the podcast thefilmup, Zachary Levithe interpreter of Shazamdoes not really understand the disenchantment of the fans and claims to have had a lot of fun shooting in the feature film:

“But listen, as an experience, I really enjoyed making this movie and I really enjoyed playing this role. I don’t know what the future holds because unfortunately the second movie wasn’t as well received. I mean, the audience score is still pretty good, but the critics score was, I don’t know, very weirdly and weirdly low and the people were incredibly mean. »

The fate of the actor remains indeed in suspense. DC seems determined to move on – and leave the ex-tauliers of the Snyderverse on the side of the road i.e. Dwayne Johnson (black adam), Gal Gadot (wonder woman) or Ben Affleck (Batman).
