The captain of the Argentine National Team, Lionel Messi, will continue as YPF ambassador throughout 2023, according to the agreement that was renewed this Thursday between the footballer and the national energy company at the AFA premises, in Ezeiza.
Within the framework of the renewal of this bond, Messi received a special gift from the manager of Institutional Affairs and Communication of YPF, Santiago Carreras: the shirt that Leo wore in his first official match with the Argentine National Team, recovered through a collector.
During the renewal event, Messi spoke with Carreras about the projects that the flag company will promote this year and that will involve the captain of Lionel Scaloni’s team.
“For us it is a pride to announce the renewal with Leo, now as World Champion. We have been together since 2020 and we feel that we were able to accompany him during these historic years with the National Team shirt. And we are already working to carry out new joint actions,” said Carreras.
Among the projects that are coming up for this 2023, the manager of YPF – official sponsor of the AFA national teams – presented Messi with a series of initiatives that will be unveiled during the year, beyond the already classic summer ball.
