An Indian court has ordered the release of a YouTuber arrested for posting a picture of a wrecked helicopter and the termination of a lawsuit.
According to Indian media reports, the Madras High Court on Tuesday termed the arrest of YouTuber by the Madurai police and the case registered against him as ridiculous.
YouTuber Murree Dhas shared a photo of the crashed Indian Air Force helicopter on a social networking site, on which police arrested him on December 9 from Nal Garis district on charges of treason and serious offenses. The case was registered under

A bench headed by Justice GR Swamy Nathan of the Madras High Court heard the case and ordered that there was no mention of tweet in the FIR, therefore the case should be dismissed and the arrested youth should be released.
It may be recalled that on December 8, an Indian Air Force helicopter crashed in Tamil Nadu, killing 13 people, including General Bipin Rawat, while one person miraculously survived. Madhulika, the wife of General Bipin Rawat, was also among those killed in the accident.
