Business Owners in Young, Río Negro, Fall Victim to Robbery

A recent incident of theft occurred at a business establishment in Young, Río Negro, resulting in significant financial loss for the owners. The store, which sells a variety of products including jewelry, technology, and music items, was targeted by a pair of thieves.

Circumstances of the Robbery

According to reports, a man entered the store and made off with $115,000 in cash, which was stored in three wallets on the counter. Meanwhile, an accomplice, a woman, waited outside and rang a bell, presumably as a signal for the man to exit the premises. The duo then fled the scene together.

Discovery of the Robbery

The store owner discovered the robbery upon arriving at the premises and noticing that the alarm had been activated earlier that morning. Upon further inspection, it became apparent that the checkout counter area had been disordered, with boxes and papers scattered about. Additionally, the rear entrance door to the hall had been damaged.

Arrest and Seizure of Suspects

Following an investigation, the police apprehended two suspects, including a man with a prior criminal record from Paysandú. A search of the suspects yielded a significant amount of money, two cell phones, a camera, and 6 grams of cocaine. The suspects are currently in custody and at the disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office.
