Recent Convictions in Young, Río Negro
A recent court decision has led to the conviction of a man and a woman for their involvement in the theft of $115,000 from a store in Young, Río Negro. The store in question sells a variety of products, including jewelry, technology, and audio equipment.
Conviction Details
The man, who is from Paysandú, was found guilty of especially aggravated robbery and will serve a 15-month prison sentence. His role in the crime was that of the perpetrator.
In contrast, the woman was convicted of three especially aggravated crimes of theft. She was found to be the author of two of these crimes and an accomplice in the third. As a result, she will serve a 12-month probationary period.
Additional Charges
Although the woman’s role in the initial robbery was relatively minor, she was also held responsible for other robberies that took place in Young. Specifically, she was charged with two crimes that occurred in December 2023 at different locations in the area.
