As if ‘Kinds of Kindness’ wasn’t enough, Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone are already working on ‘Bugonia’, a new film with Jesse Plemons. Here are the details.
Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone have already worked together on ‘The Favourite’ and ‘Poor Things’, and it seems they’re teaming up again for a new project. This time, they’ll be joined by Jesse Plemons, who has also worked with Lanthimos on ‘The Favourite’.
The film is based on a South Korean film from 2003, ‘Bird the Green Planet’, and has been adapted by Ari Aster, known for his work on ‘Hereditary’ and ‘Midsommar’. The story follows two young people who kidnap the CEO of a major company, convinced that he’s an alien trying to destroy the planet.
The film is still in the works, but it’s set to be released in theaters on November 7, 2025, in the United States, and likely around the same time in Mexico.
