Yelich achieves third cycle against Reds, but Milwaukee falls

Christian Yelich completed the third cycle of his career — all against Cincinnati, but the Milwaukee Brewers’ ninth-inning reaction fell short as they lost 14-11 to the Reds on Wednesday.

Tyler Stephenson drove in four runs with a pair of doubles and Colin Moran hit a three-run homer for Cincinnati. The Reds, with the worst record in the majors, won their second series of the season by topping the leaders of the NL Central.

Yelich doubled in the first, hit a three-run homer in the third, singled in the fifth and added a triple in a six-run rally in the ninth.

Hunter Renfroe hit two home runs for the Brewers.

For the Brewers, the Dominican Willy Adames 4-0. The Venezuelan Omar Narváez 4-2, an RBI. The Mexican Luis Urías 5-1, one scored and one RBI.
