Yashasvi Jaiswal made his international cricket debut memorable and came out after playing an excellent innings of 171 runs. After this, with the start of the third day, it didn’t take long for Yashasvi to cross the 150 race mark. Yashasvi has now become the first player to score a debut Test century outside India as an opening batsman. At the same time, he is the third player from India to score the most runs in the debut match.

In the Dominica test match, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored an innings of 171 runs off 387 balls which included 16 fours and 1 sixes. Yashasvi Jaiswal has become the Indian player to face the most balls in his debut test. Before Yashasvi, this record was held by former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin, who faced 322 balls in his debut Test in 1984.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has now become the fifth player in Test cricket history to score the highest score in a debut match. Number one on this list is Brendan Kuruppu, who scored an innings of 201 against New Zealand in 1987. Following this is number two Devon Conway, who scored an innings of 200 runs against England at Lord’s in the year 2021.

Third on this list is Shikhar Dhawan, who played an innings of 187 runs in his debut Test match against Australia in 2013 at Mohali Ground. In fourth place is former New Zealand team player Hamis Rutherford, who scored 171 against England in his debut Test in 2013.
