He then hit two more fours.
A six off the fifth ball and a four off the last ball made it 22 runs in the over.
Jaiswal’s Historic Feat
Jaiswal now holds the record for the most runs in the first over of an IPL match.
In 2023, he scored 26 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Prithvi Shaw is second on the list with 24 runs against KKR in 2021.
Jaiswal has now achieved this feat twice, making him the player with the most 20-plus scores in the first over in IPL history.
Crossing the 500-Run Mark
Jaiswal is now the sixth player to cross 500 runs in IPL 2025.
Before this match, he had 473 runs.
He reached the 500-run mark with 27 runs against Punjab Kings.
Suryakumar Yadav, Sai Sudharsan, Virat Kohli, and Shubman Gill were the other players to achieve this feat.
