Yashasvi Jaiswal is making a big move. He’s leaving Mumbai cricket to play for Goa. Jaiswal, an opener for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, asked the Mumbai Cricket Association for a no-objection certificate. This means he can play domestic cricket for another team.
Jaiswal has played well for Mumbai. In list A matches, he averaged 52.62 and scored 1526 runs. He’s also played first-class cricket, scoring 3712 runs in 36 matches. He’s part of the Indian test team and has played T20 and one-day matches for India too.
There’s talk about why Jaiswal is leaving Mumbai. One reason is that he didn’t get along with some teammates. Last season, he had a disagreement with a senior player over his shot selection. The player questioned Jaiswal’s choices, and Jaiswal responded.
Jaiswal explained why he’s leaving. He said it was a tough decision, but he’s excited about the new opportunity. Goa is giving him a chance to be captain, which he thinks is a great chance to grow. He’s thankful for what Mumbai has done for him, but he’s looking forward to this new challenge.
