‘XRP to $589 This Year,’ Says Simpsons Fake Prediction

The hype about ripple (XRP) has been quite present in recent weeks. This is of course partly due to the XRP news that the lawsuit seems to be coming to an end. But recently the hype was sparked by a prediction from the Simpsons, but it turns out that this is what it is about fake news go!

XRP to $589, Simpsons fake prediction

It is an XRP price prediction that can be seen in a screenshot of the Simpsons. In this it can be read that Bart Simpson used the sentence “XRP to hit $589+ by the end of the year” writes on the blackboard. The Simpsons are known for sometimes making accurate predictions about the future, including that Trump would one day become president of the United States.

However, it turns out to be a fake screenshot. It was in fact made in 2020 as a thumbnail for a YouTube video. Still fell here and over there some people for the fake news and the picture is already going around. So the Simpsons don’t really expect XRP to ever rise to $589.

Ripple to $589 Nearly Impossible

Speaking of which, is it possible at all for Ripple’s XRP to rise to $589? There are currently 49,900,666,456 XRP tokens in circulation. Multiplying that by $589, we get a total market cap of $24,401,425,896,984, or 24.4 trillion. Currently, all cryptocurrencies combined are worth just over $900 billion. In short, XRP should be worth astronomically much more than all the other thousands of cryptocurrencies put together.
