The mobile chip landscape is about to get a lot more interesting. A recent leak from @UniverseIce and @Jukanlosreve reveals a mysterious Xiaomi device, codenamed “Xiaomi 25042PN24C”, has appeared on Geekbench. This device is expected to be the upcoming Xiaomi 15S Pro, powered by the company’s homegrown XRING O1 chip.

Benchmark results of the Xiaomi 25042PN24C, rumored to be powered by the XRING O1 chip

The XRING O1 chip boasts a 3nm architecture, with a 10-core CPU – a departure from the usual 8-core setup. It features 2 high-performance cores at 3.9GHz, 4 balanced cores at 3.4GHz, 2 efficiency cores at 1.89GHz, and 2 extra efficiency cores at 1.8GHz. The graphics processing unit is an Immortalis-G925, clocked at 1.795GHz.

What’s striking is how well the XRING O1 performed in benchmarks. It scored an average of 2900 in single-core tests and 9000 in multi-core tests, with highs of 3100 and 9600 respectively. This puts it on par with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, outpacing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This could be a game-changer for the Android market, with consumers set to benefit from increased competition among chip manufacturers.
