Xiaomi will stop updating these smartphones in October

Xiaomi will be about to launch a new version of MIUI for its smartphones. However, this also means that some models will soon leave the list of products entitled to official support.

A list that has just been supplemented with a few more smartphones from the Chinese technology portfolio. It will be from the end of October when the models that we will present below receive less attention from Xiaomi.

These Xiaomi smartphones are about to lose support

  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra
  • Xiaomi Mi 10T/Pro
  • redmi k30 ultra
  • Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite
  • redmi note 9t
  • redmi 9T
  • redmi 10x pro
  • redmi 10x 5g

It will be from October 31 that the listed models will cease to be a priority for Xiaomi. As of that date, the models in question will no longer receive major updates.

Also, Xiaomi will no longer manufacture spare parts for the aforementioned smartphones. The only commitment of the company, in terms of hardware, with the mentioned models will be the fulfillment of the legal guarantees.

Still, it is important to note that these smartphones will not stop receiving updates. Xiaomi will continue to secure traditional security fixes as well as fixes for critical product stability flaws.

Surely many will look at this list with some surprise. After all, we are talking about products that hit the market in 2020, now serving just two years of existence.

That is why the company will still commit to necessary updates for them, especially security ones. However, if you need a spare part, you will no longer find it in the official channels.
