Xiaomi is making a big move into the electric car market with its first SUV, the YU7. This vehicle was unveiled at Xiaomi’s 15th-anniversary celebration in Beijing. The YU7 is a significant milestone for the Chinese brand as it tries to change its image from a budget smartphone maker to a major player in the clean energy car industry.
The YU7 has some impressive features. It can travel up to 835 kilometers on a single charge and can go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3 seconds. Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s CEO, claims that this performance is better than Tesla’s Model Y and Porsche’s SUVs.
One notable feature of the YU7 is its advanced driver-assistance system, developed by Xiaomi’s engineering team. Although the price and launch date haven’t been announced yet, the YU7 is already generating a lot of interest.
