Xiaomi is about to unveil its latest car, the YU7. This SUV will compete with Tesla’s Model Y. One thing is clear: the YU7 will have a minimalist design with lots of tech.
The company shared a sneak peek of the YU7. It has a big screen on the windshield, called a head-up display. This screen shows important info, like speed and navigation.
What’s inside the YU7?
The YU7 has a special screen called HyperVision. It projects images onto the windshield. This tech is similar to what BMW and Hyundai are working on.
The HyperVision screen is customizable. It can show things like speed, power, and navigation. It can even give tips on how to drive safer.
Xiaomi removed the traditional instrument panel from the YU7. The HyperVision screen takes its place.
More about the YU7
The YU7 has a simple and clean interior. Xiaomi shared six official images of the car in a green color called “Emerald Green”. This color is inspired by Colombian emeralds.
The YU7 is an electric SUV. It has two power options:
- A single motor with 235 kW (315 cv) of power.
- A dual motor with 508 kW (681 cv) of power. This version can go up to 253 km/h.
The YU7 has two battery options: 96.3 kWh and 101.7 kWh. It can go up to 820 km on a single charge.
