Apparently, the new Redmi K50 series and its numerous models will be launched. And now there is news that the manufacturer can start by launching the variants of the new line equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon processors and leave the market of models with the Dimensity 9000 processor for later.
This information comes to us through Lu Weibing, CEO of Redmi and Vice President of Xiaomi, who gives some certainties in a series that has too much information to circulate. Let’s see, only in terms of processors, we have news that the K50 line has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, with the Dimensity 9000, but also with the Snapdragon 870 and the Dimensity 8000, from Qualcomm and MediaTek respectively.
On the other hand, there is also a lot of information about the models that will be part of the new series. But it seems that another model is on the way. Which means the series could include five new smartphones. Namely: Redmi K50, K50 Pro, K50 Pro+, K50 Gaming Edition and even K50 Super Cup Edition.
About this latest model, for now it is only known that it can arrive with 512 GB of internal storage, and the processor with which it will arrive is still unknown. As such, it’s not possible to say if it will be in the first wave of brand launches.
Specifications expected in the Redmi K50 series
So according to all the information released so far, both the K50 Pro and the K50 Pro+ have Qualcomm processors, Snapdragon 870 in the first case, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the second.
It was also reported that the K50 Gaming Edition model will come with the new Dimensity 9000, while the standard K50 is equipped with Snapdragon 870.
The entire lineup is expected to run MIUI 13 and Android 12. It has also been teased that the standard model will support 50 or 67W fast charging, while more advanced models will feature 120W fast charging.
