According to the latest rumors, the Xiaomi 12X will arrive next December.
Apparently, the X model will be part of the top-of-the-range Xiaomi 12 series, but it will have a more affordable price.
Xiaomi 12X with smaller 6.28-inch screen
According to various sources, the Chinese manufacturer will unveil the regular model of its high-end Xiaomi 12 series later this year, specifically next month. And it seems that this model does not come alone, as the brand prepares to officially show the 12X model on the same date.
According to Digital Chat Station, the brand will introduce a smartphone with a Snapdragon 870 processor next month, and apparently that model is the Xiaomi 12X.
This model will be differentiated by its smaller screen of 6.28 inches, being that the width of the body will be only 65.4 millimeters and at the height it will have 145.4 millimeters. At these dimensions, Xiaomi’s Model X is narrower than the 4.7-inch iPhone 7, which is 67.1mm wide.
And although the 6.28-inch screen is not the smallest size on the market, it will be the Xiaomi model with the smallest screen.
Expected specifications on Xiaomi 12X
But this model will differ in several characteristics from the rest of the flagship devices of the Xiaomi 12 series and, for that reason, it is likely to have a more affordable price than the “brothers”.
As already mentioned, it will be equipped with the Snapdragon 870 processor while the standard model of the series will have the new Snapdragon 898. The AMOLED screen is smaller with said 6.28 inches and will have a Full HD + resolution (2400×1080 pixels) and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Some sources even advance that the main rear sensor will have 50 megapixels of resolution.
From what we know so far and looking closely at these specs, we can see why the Xiaomi 12X is more affordable. After all, the Snapdragon 870 processor will not offer the same performance as the upcoming Snapdragon 898.
But, despite the fact that the Chinese brand presents its smartphone X, next month users will still have to wait to receive it in their hands. This is because, according to the information disclosed, the Xiaomi 12X will only hit the market during the first quarter of 2022.
