For those who have been using one of Xiaomi’s most popular products for several years, the Mi Band is the Mi Fit app that many are used to using. But more recently, the Chinese manufacturer has made the transition to Mi Fitness.
Now it’s time to say goodbye to Mi Fit. When searching for this app in the Google Play Store (on Android) and App Store (iOS), it has already changed its name.
My Fit is now called Zepp Life
As you can see from the images below from the App Store and Google Play Store, the Mi Fit app is now called Zepp Life. In the details, it claims to still have support for the Mi Band.
This name change is due to another move in the separation between Huami and Xiaomi. Remember that Amazfit watches also use the Zepp app for smartphones.
It will be interesting to see how this move will affect the launch of the long-awaited Xiaomi Mi Band 7. This is the next version of the world’s best-selling smartband, just a few weeks away from its launch.
Historically, this is a product developed by Huami. Even with complete independence from Amazfit products, will Amazfit continue to develop Mi Band 7? It is something that we will surely know when it comes out.
