Xiaomi has just officially announced the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition that will be available in the Chinese market from February 18 at prices starting at 460 euros.
As expected, the terminal arrives with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and with various functions to optimize the gaming experience.
Redmi K50 Gaming Edition with innovative cooling system

Xiaomi has just made the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition official and, as has been advanced in recent weeks, we are facing a terminal intended for video games. It comes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor which, according to the brand, provides an almost 52% increase in GPU performance compared to Qualcomm’s previous chip, Snapdragon 888.
Along with the processor is up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. To ensure that the temperature of the terminal is suitable for playing video games, the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition integrates a cooling configuration that includes two stainless steel vapor chambers, capable of covering a surface of 4,860 mm2.
These vapor chambers direct the heat absorbed by the chip and battery to graphene heatsinks that Xiaomi claims are 20% more effective than its previous generation.
But there is something new in refrigeration. If users want to make the terminal even more “cool”, they can purchase Redmi’s new custom metal magnetic heat dissipation case that connects to an external magnetic fan that does not allow the K50 Gaming Edition to overheat.
Redmi K50 Gaming Edition: cameras and screen

To display the contents in all its fullness, the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition is equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED screen with FHD + resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and 480 H.
In terms of optics, the terminal has a triple rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary sensor, complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with an angle of 120 degrees and a 2-megapixel telemacro sensor.
It should be noted that this camera module also includes a flicker sensor that detects the frequency of fluorescent lights, automatically adjusting the shutter speed and ISO. On the front, the new Redmi terminal has a 20-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
Sports car-inspired design

Also in design, the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition excels at “showing off”. All because its design was inspired by sports cars. One of the details is that the rear camera island includes an LED strip that works as an alert/notification light.
But as a terminal intended for video games, it integrates two triggers on the right side of its metal structure that has an AG Glass finish on the rear panel.
In addition, as you can see in the images, it has an “X” shape so that you do not go unnoticed in any waiting room or public transport.
Redmi K50 Gaming Edition fully charges in just 17 minutes
The new Redmi K50 Gaming Edition is powered by a 4,700 mAh battery with support for 120-watt fast charging, and Xiaomi guarantees that the terminal is fully charged in just 17 minutes.
It should be noted that the terminal is also equipped with the first CyberEngine ultra-wideband X-axis motor, which is currently the most powerful X-axis vibration motor for Android devices.
And for network gaming to run smoothly, Redmi K50 Gaming Edition is equipped with three Wi-Fi antennas supporting Wi-Fi 6E for a faster and more stable connection.
