The new Redmi K50 and K50 Pro models were announced today, joining the previously introduced Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. And the official presentation confirmed the good news that was already anticipated about the two terminals.

To start, right now, with integrated processors. The K50 is powered by the new Dimensity 8100, which has achieved a score of 850,000 on the AnTuTu platform. The chip is paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.

The Redmi K50 Pro has the Dimensity 9000 chip, also from MediaTek, and 8 or 12 GB RAM. In the case of this terminal, the available internal storage options are 128, 256 and 512 GB.

But both models have an advanced cooling system to ensure that the processors perform at their best. Both the K50 and the K50 Pro have a 3D heat dissipation system, as well as various materials (graphite, thermal paste, among others) that prevent the terminals from registering high temperatures.

But the highlight is the 6.6-inch AMOLED screen that integrates both terminals. The resolution is 2K (or 3200×1440 pixels) and the refresh rate is 120 Hz, in addition to 1200 nits of brightness.

Then there’s the integration of Dolby Vision technology, AI HDR, full DC dimming, 16,000-level automatic brightness adjustment, and even a color sensor that adjusts based on ambient temperature. It also highlights the Corning Gorilla Victus protection which, according to the brand, is 1.5 times better than Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

In the optical part, the two terminals have a triple rear camera configuration, but with a difference. The K50 Pro integrates a 108-megapixel primary sensor while the K50 is equipped with a 48-megapixel resolution main sensor, but both offer optical image stabilization.

Otherwise, they have the same eight-megapixel ultra-wide and two-megapixel macro sensors. Both also have a 20-megapixel front camera for video calls and selfies.

Finally, they are also distinguished on another point. The Redmi K50 Pro has a 5,000 mAh battery with 120W fast charging that brings the battery to 100% in just 19 minutes. The K50 has a larger 5,500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.

At the moment, they are only available in the Chinese market with prices starting at approximately 340 euros. There is no information on its global availability yet, but it is possible that they will arrive in Europe as a POCO model.
