Xiaomi will soon introduce the POCO M5 and POCO M5s smartphones, two mid/low-end entry-level mobile devices. Meanwhile, its retail prices for Europe, main color schemes, general design and most relevant technical characteristics have already reached the Internet.

We know that the M5 range will be made up of two models, the homonymous POCO M5 and the M5s version. In addition, its global launch should take place on September 5, with special emphasis on its arrival in Europe. In short, this is the next generation of Xiaomi phones up to 200 euros that we will eventually be able to buy in Portugal.

According to some reports, the POCO M5s may have a more restricted distribution. On the other hand, the POCO M5 will be the terminal to reach all markets where Xiaomi has an official presence. Thus, our attention will fall mainly on this model.

Thus, according to part of the publication 91mobiles We have the various color combinations for this mobile of up to 200 euros that will soon hit the market. First of all, we have their color combinations, from black, yellow and green.

The POCO M5 will also feature the fingerprint reader on the side (Power) button, on the right. The phone will have a sizeable “chin” and the front camera in the notch at the top of the device. Note also the horizontal strip, on the back, to accommodate the camera.

According to POCO itself, this model will feature the 6nm MediaTek Helio G99 processor, as well as a screen with a high refresh rate at 90 Hz. Best of all? This will be an AMOLED screen, as confirmed by the Chinese brand itself.

We can also anticipate that this smartphone will have a plastic structure with straight edges and the card slot on the left side of the mobile device. The elements are clearly visible in the image above provided by the brand itself.

The POCO M5 and M5s model must share several technical characteristics such as a 5,000 mAh battery, a 6.43-inch diagonal screen and a 64 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP quad camera.

Xiaomi POCO M5s will be closer to the current Xiaomi Redmi Note

As far as you are concerned, the POCO M5s will look very distinctive. While it shares the presence of the notorious “chin”, we have a camera already perforating the screen, giving it a more sophisticated and elegant look, with a full screen appearance.

Also, the margins are noticeably smaller, with a nicer appearance. Now looking at the back, we see an island of cameras similar to that of the latest Xiaomi Redmi Note, in a square format.

We can also point out the presence of at least 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage in the base versions of both mobile devices.

The cheapest will be the POCO M5 model whose price will vary depending on the version. We have a 4GB + 64GB base model that costs the equivalent of €189 internationally. However, the 4GB + 128GB model will cost approximately €209.

Finally, the POCO M5s model will have the same memory schemes but should cost from €229 (international) and up to €249 in global markets. An estimate for the national market would place these values at €299 and €329 (mere approximation).

Check out this cool ‘premium leather-like’ design from #POCOM5. It’s pretty fascinating to be honest. Launching on September 5 at 5:30 pm worldwide. #POCOM5 #BuiltToExceed pic.twitter.com/bXWD0fK4Bm
