Xiaomi Pad 8 Leaks: Specs, Images, Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, Geekbench Scores Revealed

The tech community has plenty to talk about ahead of Xiaomi’s next big launch event. While new flagship phones, like the Xiaomi 17 series, are expected with their unique large second screens on the camera module and hefty 7,000 mAh batteries, another device is stealing some early thunder. Say hello to the Xiaomi Pad 8, a new premium tablet set to join the lineup.

Usually, details like these are kept under wraps. But Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s co-founder and CEO, decided to share the goods early. He took to Weibo, a popular Chinese social media site, posting updated specs and crystal-clear photos of the actual Xiaomi Pad 8 device. Talk about a direct reveal!

The Xiaomi Pad 8 will be the most budget-friendly option in its series, sitting just below the Pad 8 Pro. It comes with an 11.2-inch LCD screen. This display offers a crisp 3.2K resolution. Plus, it boasts a super smooth 144 Hz refresh rate. This feature is perfect for gamers and anyone who creates content, offering incredibly fluid visuals.

Powering the tablet is a robust 9,200 mAh battery. It also supports 45W fast charging. All these powerful features are packed into a device that’s only 5.75 mm thick. It weighs just 485 grams, which is quite similar to the Pro model.

For optics, the tablet includes a 13 MP main camera and an 8 MP selfie camera. Audio is handled by four speakers and four microphones. It features a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port for quick data transfers. The tablet runs on HyperOS 3, Xiaomi’s own operating system built on Android 16. This software is made to work perfectly with all your other Xiaomi gadgets.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 (model code 25097RP43C) also made an appearance on Geekbench. This test revealed it uses a top-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. This chip is built on a 4nm process and runs at 3.21 GHz. The device also comes with a generous 12 GB of RAM.

Here’s how it scored:

  • Single-Core (tests a single CPU core): 1,984 points
  • Multi-Core (tests multiple CPU cores): 6,323 points

These scores are actually higher than those achieved by the Poco F7 and Nothing Phone (3), both of which use the exact same chipset. However, it’s still unclear if the final retail version of the Xiaomi Pad 8 will achieve these impressive benchmark numbers.
