Xiaomi: new 12 Lite 5G NE smartphone on the way to Europe

The new Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE has already passed the necessary certifications for its launch in Europe, which should take place at the end of this month.

The model must be a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Civi 2 terminal recently launched in the Chinese market.

According to the latest rumors, Xiaomi is preparing to launch a new smartphone on the European market. The model will have the commercial designation of Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE and should have the official launch at the end of this month of October.

The Lite terminal has already received the necessary European certifications, which reinforces the idea that it will be available at the end of this month.

However, the certification sites have already revealed some of their specifications. On the FCC website it was learned that the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE will have three configurations: one with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, another with 8 GB + 128 GB and a third version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage capacity.

But some rumors went further and announced that this terminal will be a “copy” of the Xiaomi Civi 2, recently launched in the Chinese market. Let us remember here its specifications.

Xiaomi Mi 12 specifications

Launched in September this year, the Xiaomi Civi 2 came equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor combined with 8 or 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage.

It runs the Android 12 operating system under the MIUI 13 interface and has a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, 1000 nits of maximum brightness and support for HDR10 + and Dolby Vision.

Highlight for the optical department of this terminal that has two 32-megapixel front cameras. In the triple rear camera configuration, it has a 50-megapixel primary sensor, complemented by a 20-megapixel ultra-wide angle and a macro sensor with a resolution of two megapixels.

For the rest, it is powered by a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 67-watt fast charging, which, according to the brand, brings the battery to 100% in 40 minutes.
