Yesterday was the day we finally met the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4. It was one of the most anticipated devices of the year, largely because it was the first Chinese smartphone with a front camera built into the screen.
With the presentations made and with the first test units in the hands of critics, it is time to assess their great innovation. To everyone’s unhappiness, the first samples of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 front camera are not enthusiastic.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 produces selfies with quality far from the desired
The images we share are from the Chinese publication Toutiao. With a test unit of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 in hand, one of his concerns was to analyze the quality of the front camera.
Unfortunately, the results leave no room for doubt and the quality of the selfies captured by the Mi MIX 4 is far from the best on the market. Compared to a Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro, the difference is marked.
Images are blurry and have difficulty achieving perfect color reproduction, whether in bright or low light. Of course, when it is scarce, the camera has even more difficulties to faithfully reproduce the scenario it faces.
We cannot say that these conclusions are surprising, since other models with the same technology have already shown us something similar. However, considering what Xiaomi said in his presentation, more was expected.
The camera built into the screen of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 represents the third generation of the technology developed by the Chinese. However, the results obtained with this smartphone reveal that there is still a lot of room for improvement.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 was presented with a 6.67 “inch 120Hz OLED screen, Snapdragon 888+ processor, 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal memory. Its rear camera is composed of three sensors: 108MP + 13MP + 8MP.
Prices for the Mi MIX 4 start at the equivalent of € 658, however it will not be easy to acquire a copy in Portugal. This is because the smartphone is unique to China.
