Remember that previous versions of the Xiaomi smart band already allowed payments in some regions, such as China or Russia. Now, this possibility is presented before a partnership with Mastercard.

By adding the NFC function, the new version now offers a fast, secure and convenient payment method, ”Xiaomi writes in a statement.
“Payments are made more efficiently than ever, whether to pay for daily purchases, pay for public transport or simply pay for a coffee in the daily routine of users,” he adds.
Xiaomi Mi Band 6 NFC will arrive in 19 countries
Xiaomi confirms that this possibility will reach 19 regions in the coming months. After Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, we hope that Portugal can be one of the chosen destinations.
Another important detail that comes to Xiaomi Mi Band 6 NFC is the compatibility with Amazon Alexa. This means that you will be able to access a lot of information on your wrist, as well as control your devices in that ecosystem.
For what remains, the Xiaomi Mi Band 6 NFC does not change. It still has a 1.56-inch AMOLED panel for a full quality experience. It also has 30 sports modes, sleep monitoring, heart rate, steps, blood oxygen and menstruation.
Like the original version, it is 5ATM certified for water resistance. In this version, Xiaomi promises an autonomy of up to 12 days, which can be considered acceptable.

As mentioned above, the brand only reveals that the NFC functionality will be available in 19 countries.
