Xiaomi maintains leadership in the second largest market in the world

Xiaomi continues to demonstrate a success that extends far beyond China. As is known, the manufacturer is already the second largest globally, and remains at the head of the second largest mobile market in the world: India.

Canalys analysts released figures for the third quarter of the Indian mobile market on Thursday. In a year, shipments are down 5%, but Xiaomi maintains a sustained advantage.

Xiaomi has a 24% mobile market share in India

The Chinese manufacturer appears in this table with 11.2 million shipments during the third quarter of 2021, which gives it a market share of 24%. It registered a drop of 14% compared to the same period of the previous year, where it had 13.1 million shipments and a market share of 26%.

In second place is Samsung, with 9.1 million presentations and a 19% market share. It also had a slight fall of 10%, since a year ago it registered 10.2 million shipments and a market share of 20%.

BBK Group has a market share of 46%

It is not surprising that this TOP 5 includes three more brands, all of them from the BBK group. In third position we find Vivo, still without expression in our country. In India it already has a market share of 17% and 8.1 million shipments in the last quarter.

Behind comes the young Realme, with a market share of 16% and 7.5 million shipments. These top five spots are closed by Oppo, which has a 13% market share, and 5.3 million submissions in this period. The remaining brands share a market share of 11% and 5.3 million shipments.
