Opening the door with a simple key is a thing of the past for many. The smart lock market has flourished and Xiaomi is one of the manufacturers responsible for it.
The Chinese giant has just presented a new product for this market segment. It goes by the name of Xiaomi E10 Smart Door Lockand makes you want to ‘take it home’.
It has a C-level lock cylinder, which runs the length of the body structure. The purpose is to prevent the door from opening even if the outer panel is removed.
How can you open the Xiaomi Smart Door Lock E10?
How can you open the lock? There is no shortage of options. As you can see in the images, we have passwords, which can even be one-time only if you wish. It is also possible to open it by fingerprint, NFC or with compatible Xiaomi wearables.
Xiaomi claims that the fingerprint sensor has an efficiency rate of 99%. Especially since you don’t want this one to fail at the decisive moment. It is good to note that this has a smart doorbell, which will sound on the internal and external panel.
You can count on integration into the Xiaomi ecosystem through the official apps and you can also connect to other Xiaomi smart products via Bluetooth.
Given this integration, you can create automations so that the lights turn on or the shades open as soon as you open the door. According to Xiaomi, the autonomy is 1 year with four AAA batteries. But it can be charged via USB-C in an emergency.
Price and availability of Xiaomi Smart Door Lock E10
For now, this is a product that will only be sold in China from December 7. It reaches the national market for 799 yuan (108 euros in direct conversion). There are currently no details on a global release date.
