Xiaomi has begun its global rollout of HyperOS 3, surprisingly prioritizing its mid-range 15T and 15T Pro smartphones ahead of its premium flagship models.
The new operating system, based on Android 16, marks the global debut of an interface previously available only in China. Xiaomi touts the update as bringing a “cleaner design, better performance, and closer integration between devices across the ecosystem.”
The company confirmed on its official X (formerly Twitter) account that the Xiaomi 15T series would be the first wave of devices to receive the update. This decision to launch on the mid-range models before the high-end Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra, which feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, is noteworthy.

The 15T Pro, equipped with a Dimensity 9400+ processor, will effectively lead the initial global testing phase for this advanced platform. The first over-the-air (OTA) updates are OS3.0.3.0.WOEEUXM for the 15T and OS3.0.4.0.WOSEUXM for the 15T Pro. Both updates include the October security patch.
Distribution is starting in Europe and is expected to expand to other regions soon. Users can check for the update via their device’s Settings menu under “About Phone” and “System Update.”
HyperOS 3 introduces several new features designed to enhance user experience. These include a “Hyper Island” quick menu for media, navigation, and notifications, offering a dynamic notification center. The update also promises reduced CPU load and faster application startup times. Advanced synchronization and connectivity features are also available across phones, tablets, and wearables within the Xiaomi ecosystem.
Xiaomi has outlined a phased rollout schedule for HyperOS 3. The flagship Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra, alongside the Redmi Note 14 series and Poco F7/X7, are slated to receive the update in November. Other 2024 models, including the Xiaomi 14 and Poco F6, are expected to follow in late November and early December.
