It was recently revealed that the Xiaomi 12S Pro would come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chip. But now new information reveals that the new smartphone will also have a variant with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000.

Apparently, the two versions will arrive with the same range of specifications, differing only in the integrated processor.

The new Xiaomi 12S Pro model is beginning to be the subject of rumors in the web world that are revealing some of the specifications that we can expect to see in the terminal. It was recently reported that the new Xiaomi device was going to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus processor at the controls.

But now the Xiaomiui website advances that the model will be available in a second variant that will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip. The publication discovered the device in the IMEI database, where it has the model number 2207122MC and the codename dauimer.

Information on the release date of the model is not yet available. But considering that Qualcomm will have postponed the announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chip for the second half of this year, at least this variant of the Xiaomi 12S Pro should only be released after the reveal of the chip manufacturer.

Rumors advance some of the specifications of the Xiaomi 12S Pro

But the rumors related to the new Xiaomi terminal have already revealed some more specifications of the terminal in addition to the integrated processors. The model is then expected to be powered by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.

It will also integrate a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. As for optics, the terminal will feature a triple rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 5-megapixel resolution macro sensor. At the front there will be a 16-megapixel camera.

It runs Android 12 under MIUI 13 and will also have in-display optical fingerprint sensors.
