Xiaomi 12 Pro wins Motorola Moto Edge X30 on the GeekBench platform

The Chinese brand has already confirmed that the new Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro models will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 to offer “faster performance”.

Now the team’s results have been revealed on the GeekBench platform showing that the Xiaomi 12 Pro beat its more direct rival Moto Edge X30 from Motorola.

The confirmation came from Xiaomi itself and we already know that, at least, the standard model and the 12 Pro will have at their controls the latest Qualcomm chip, the Snadragon 8 Gen 1. According to the Chinese manufacturer, this option is aimed at to offer “. faster performance “for users.

However, contrary to usual, Xiaomi will not be the brand to offer the first equipment on the market with the new Qualcomm processor. Motorola anticipated and unveiled, last month, the Moto Edge X30 equipped with this chip, which turned out to be the first terminal to arrive with the long-awaited innovation.

But today, the benchmarking test results for Xiaomi’s next model were revealed and it looks like the wait will be worth it. In Geekbench 5, the Xiaomi 12 Pro scored 1246 points in single-core mode and 3903 in multi-core tests.

With this score, the Xiaomi 12 Pro beats the Motorola Moto Edge X30. Since they are both equipped with the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, this could suggest that Xiaomi managed to get better performance from the latest Qualcomm chip.

In single-core tests, the processors register a slight difference, but still in favor of the latest MediaTek chip. It should be noted that in these tests the Xiaomi 12 Pro model with 12 GB of RAM and Android 12 was used, and it was not revealed which terminal was part of the MediaTek chip.

Expectations are increasing for the new Xiaomi series that will be presented on December 28, a date recently confirmed by the Chinese manufacturer. But rumors begin to circulate that the Chinese manufacturer can only present two models of the series at the event.

In a new image, shared by the brand, only two devices are seen that are supposedly the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro models. The remaining 12 Lite Zoom and 12 Lite terminals, scheduled to be presented next year.

However, these images also reveal that Xiaomi opted for screens with curved sides and a sober and elegant design, but not very innovative.
