At the end of December, Xiaomi introduced three new smartphones in China. We are talking about Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X and Xiaomi 12 Pro. But the strategy may be different when it comes to global markets.

This Tuesday the Xiaomiui page reveals that a Xiaomi smartphone with the model number ‘2203129G’ has been certified in the European Union. The source refers to this as Xiaomi 12 Lite.

Having a ‘G’ at the end of the model number means that this will not be a product destined for China or India, but for global markets. And one might immediately think that this would be a global variant of the Xiaomi 12X presented in China.

As stated by MyDrivers, this means that the Xiaomi 12 Lite will not be equipped with the Snapdragon 870 that we see in the Xiaomi 12X. Instead, it should keep the tradition of the Snapdragon 700 series from previous generations.

It is recalled that the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite arrived with the Snapdragon 765G in global markets. The Xiaomi 11 Lite came with Snapdragon 780G, or Snapdragon 778G in its latest edition.

This may well be the mid-range that will be discussed in 2022. As happened in other years, you can follow the design line of the Xiaomi 12. And if that happens, it could be a terminal of only 6.28 “inches. .

A smartphone of this size is a real rarity in 2022 in the mid-range segment. We will no longer have to wait long to understand what this Xiaomi launch has in store for us, which should take place during the month of February.
