WWE figure challenges Conor McGregor, from the UFC, for Wrestlemania 40

Just a few days ago Endeavor, the company that owns the UFC, unveiled the purchase of WWE to merge both and create a ‘super company. From that moment, rumors of UFC fighters who could leave the Octagon to enter the ring began to emerge.

One of them was the Irish Conor McGregorwho posted a photo on his Twitter account in which he brings the UFC and WWE titleshinting that he would like to be champion of the company that still has Vince McMahon as its creative.

This week, Dolph Ziggler, who has not been present in the last three editions of Wrestlemania, threatened his return for next year and challenged McGregor for both to be at Wrestlemania 40, which will take place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

Ziggler’s proposal

During a few words that he gave to the sports entertainment portal, ‘TMZ’, Ziggler, who has been a two-time champion of United States wrestlingannounced the proposal they had for both fighters to be present at the great WWE event.

“Why not do it to the best of three?” Ziggler said. “Octagon. Boxing match. Wrestling. fights. WWE. And then get everything ready for the best of seven at WrestleMania. That’s where the money is, but not everyone can go and support it. But some of us can” were Ziggler’s words.

McGregor has had several ‘run-ins’ with WWE wrestlers over the years, but none have led him to set foot in the ring. He is currently in the midst of his return to the UFC after breaking his leg in a July 2021 loss to Dustin Poirier.
