Wriddhiman also took aim at BCCI president Sourav Ganguly. Wriddhiman claimed that Ganguly had assured him that he shouldn’t worry about his place on the team.

Wriddhiman Saha said that after playing an unbeaten 61-run innings against New Zealand in the Kanpur Test against New Zealand after consuming a painkiller, I received a congratulatory message from Sourav Ganguly, which read: “As long as you are at BCCI, you will have your team instead. Don’t worry about it. This message had boosted his confidence, but now everything has changed.”
