German fighter arrives in Australia
The Australian Defense Ministry said that in its Rapid Pacific deployment, Germany would send six Eurofighter fighters, 200 airmen, an A330 multi-role tanker transport and an A400M transport aircraft. These fighter aircraft will conduct maneuvers with Australia, Japan and South Korea. This is the first time the Australian and German air forces will be seen together in a pitch black exercise involving the armies of 17 countries. Lieutenant General Ingo Gerhartz, Chief of the German Air Force, who participated in the exercise, said the Indo-Pacific is of great importance to Germany. Aircraft and personnel from Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States participated. Three weeks of pitch black exercise. The total number of personnel to be involved in this exercise is 2,500, while 100 aircraft will be showcasing their strength in various missions. According to the Royal Australian Air Force, Germany, Japan and South Korea are going to take part in this exercise for the first time.
