Great information has come to light regarding the women’s IPL (WPL 2023). The first season of the tournament starting this year will begin from March 4. And their final match will be played on March 26. Last Monday, in a mail sent by the BCCI to the five franchises of the Women’s Premier League 2023, it was confirmed that two stadiums in Mumbai would be used for the tournament. Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium will be present in this one. The teams did not have to travel far, which is why two stadiums in Mumbai were selected.

There will be an auction for this first season in Mumbai on February 13. IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal confirmed this. Apart from this, Arun Dhumal while speaking to PTI said, “The Women’s Premier League will be played from March 4 to 26. The tournament will start eight days after the Women’s T20 World Cup. The final match of the Women’s T20 World Cup, which will be played in South Africa from February 10, it will be played on February 26.

BCCI CEO Hemang Amin said that a total of 1,500 players had registered for the tournament. Of these, a total of 409 players have been selected for the auction. In this auction that will be held on February 13, 246 Indian players and 163 foreigners will be auctioned. There are 202 capped and 163 uncapped players in this. A total of 90 players will be purchased, including 60 Indians and 30 foreigners. The squad of all teams will consist of 17 players.

The base price of Rs 50 lakh is the highest. A total of 24 players have been included in this category. In it Kaur, Shefali, Smriti, Deepti, Jemimah, Devine, Ecclestone, Ashley Gardner, Perry, Skriver, Renuka, Lanning, Pooja, Dottin, Danni Wyatt, Richa, Alyssa, Jess Jonassen, Sneh Rana, Brut, Meghna Singh, Darcy Brown and Lorin Phiri are included.
