Women’s Football: River thrashed Huracán and leads with an ideal score

With goals from Lourdes Lezcano, Carolina Birizamberri, Agostina Holzheier and a double from Mercedes Pereyra, River beat Huracán 5-2 as a visitor this Friday, at the start of the second day of the women’s first division soccer tournament. Thanks to the victory, the millionaire team is the leader in zone B, with six points in two games. For Huracán, who had just beaten Central 3-0, Luciana Pérez and Luciana Nievas were discounted.

In other matches played this Friday, Deportivo Español beat El Porvenir 2-1 as a visitor and added its first victory in zone A, the same as Lanús, which defeated SAT 1-0.

The day will continue on Saturday with the Excursionistas-Independiente and Comunicaciones-Villa San Carlos meetings.
