Wolverhampton are paying attention to English football’s rebels

In the world of football, news about transfers and transfers always creates a lot of anticipation among fans. On this occasion, the name of Jesse Lingard (30) made headlines again, being on the wish lists at both West Ham and Wolverhampton.

The England midfielder was sacked after coming through Nottingham Forest, where he made 17 appearances, including 12 as a regular. However, his hefty salary, which sits at around €10m a season, could be an obstacle to his arrival at any of these clubs, particularly Wolverhampton, who are in a difficult financial situation.

Lingard, then seen as a Manchester United promise, failed to live up to expectations at Old Trafford and decided to seek minutes at Nottingham Forest last season. Unfortunately, his performances did not live up to expectations, leading to the termination of his contract.

He has to cut his salary to fit into every club

As a free agent, Lingard now has the ability to choose his next target. Despite his high salary, his free agent status could open doors to teams that otherwise couldn’t afford to sign him. However, he doesn’t seem willing to cut his salary to help him get started at a new club.
