Microsoft officially released the Windows 11 ISO on October 5, and the first bugs are already starting to appear. While it is possible to find the Windows 10 taskbar after updating your computer to Windows 11, in particular thanks to the Start11 tool designed by Stardock, the new version of the operating system seems to deprive some users of the new redesigned taskbar.

Indeed, on Reddit, a user named “Mastermind1703” claimed that after updating his computer to Windows 11, the new version taskbar had not appeared on his PC, and it was stuck with the old Windows 10 taskbar. It seems that this is not an isolated case, since many other users have commented on the discussion stating that they are experiencing the same issue.

Mastermind1703 has yet installed the update using the official Microsoft tool: the Windows 11 installation wizard. According to the American giant, however, it is “ the best solution to install Windows 11 on the device you are currently using “. Microsoft has not yet officially communicated about this bug, but it could easily be fixed.

Since, the author and other Internet users have managed to correct this problem thanks to another user, who advised them to press “Windows + R” then type “netplwiz”. Then just add a local administrator account, then log in using this new account and configure Windows again. You will then need to add your Microsoft account to your local administrator account and remove the old one.

We hope that Microsoft will be able to correct this bug in a future update of the operating system. In the meantime, if you still haven’t installed Windows 11 and have a computer with a Ryzen processor, it might be better to wait a few weeks. This is because Windows 11 reduces the performance of AMD chips by 15%, but a fix is expected to be rolled out at the end of the month.
