Win a Half Marathon… and run away from doping control

The celebration of the Las Galletas Half Marathon (Tenerife) left us with a regrettable image and that shows that many athletes continue to compete by cheating in some sports events.

The athlete Alberto Puyuelo, who finished third in this race, denounced through social networks that the winner of the test, Redouan Nouini, escaped when it was his turn to go to the anti-doping control and he was not present at the awards ceremony either. In this way and by incurring in this infraction, Nouini is considered to have failed an anti-doping control.

Puyuelo recounted what happened on his Twitter account: “I come from running the Las Galletas Half Marathon (Tenerife), I have entered the finish line third. At the end they called the first one, Redouan Nouini and me, for anti-doping control. Well, the first one has run away from control, it has neither passed control nor has it collected prizes… I have a very sour taste, after a great race in which I felt great… TYou realize that this sport is full of cheaters. Sportingly he had destroyed us with a time of 1:05:30 on a hard circuit with 23-25th. I await your disqualification and sanction.”together with the hashtag #DopingForLosers (doping is for losers), a doping scourge that is still very present in numerous sports competitions.
