Will Varun Dhawan’s ‘Bhediya’ Break ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ Record? Early booking is happening fiercely

Bhediya, starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, is set to hit theaters this Friday, November 25. The stunning trailer for the Amar Kaushik-directed film has created a lot of buzz and is expected to do well at the box office. Earlier this year, Kartik Aaryan’s comedy horror Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 turned out to be a blockbuster.

‘Bhediya’ starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon is all set for release. The film is directed by Amar Kaushik. The film was approved by the Central Board of Film Certification with a U/A certificate with an approved running time of 2 hours 36 minutes, which includes a 16-minute post-credits sequence (Thumkeshwari + end credits rolls). . The film opens on around 2,500 screens across the country.

Now all eyes are on whether Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya will be able to get off to a good start at the box office amid the box office storm going on for Drishyam 2. As per the film’s advance bookings, until 10am on Thursday, Bheriya has sold around 15,000 tickets across three national chains (PVR, INOX and Cinépolis) and is slowly advancing towards a final figure of around 35,000.

To put things in perspective, the bookings are similar to those of Raksha Bandhan (34,000) and slightly lower than those of Ram Setu (39,000) and Samrat Prithviraj (41,000). Movies like Jug Jug Jio, Gangubai, and Shamshera achieved bookings of 57,000, 56,000, and 46,000 respectively. Ideally, the film should have been aiming for a double-digit opening day and now it’s all down to on-time bookings.

Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon’s Bhediya is part of Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy Duniya. The film tells the story of Bhaskar, played by Varun, who starts transforming into a werewolf. With the comic punch of him and the scenes of him, the Bhediya trailer has managed to raise the excitement level. Business analysts expect Bhediya to open well at the box office. Since it is a horror comedy, comparisons to Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ are bound to happen. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the sequel grossed over Rs 180 crore.
