Riyadh: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Education says that the new academic year will start in the kingdom from August 29, hopefully from that day schools will open and students will arrive.

According to Arab media reports, the Ministry of Education said that only intermediate and high school students will be able to come to schools and that full vaccination is also a prerequisite for them. While primary-level children will study online, the health data of the educational institution’s staff and students will be viewed through the Tawakalna app.

The authorities of the country’s schools and educational institutions will now be able to track the data of students and staff members, including health, vaccinations and infection status, through the Tawaklana app, according to the report.

The Tukalna online platform has complete data of students, teachers and other staff, the complete information can be obtained with the help of the QR code.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Education has also said it has allocated more than 147 billion riyals for annual school cleaning and maintenance contracts to prepare for the return of students to the kingdom.

Meanwhile, Abdul Rehman Al-Shia, undersecretary for planning and maintenance at the Ministry of Education, said that other essential items, including head disinfectants and face masks, have been made mandatory in schools to prevent corona, thus increasing budget. . The government has ordered students to get vaccinated before August 29.
