Stephen Fleming while speaking to the reporter said: “It was just a cramp for MS Dhoni in the 19th, no knee problem. He knows the limitations of him at this age, but he’s still a great captain. He will play the part of him with the bat. A legend and a very valuable player on the pitch.”

In the first match played against the defending champions Gujarat Titans, Chennai Super Kings had to face defeat by 5 wickets. In this match, CSK opener Ruturaj Gaikwad played a brilliant innings of 92 runs aided by 4 fours and 9 sixes. Although in his entries the team could not win.

Let us tell you that while batting first, Chennai Super Kings scored 178 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing runs, Gujarat Titans achieved the target in just 19.2 overs. For the team, opening batsman Shubman Gill scored 63 runs with a strike 175 off 36 balls. Gill hit 6 fours and 3 sixes in his innings.
