Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka was not a part of any franchise in IPL (IPL 2023). Shanaka has been appearing at an excellent pace for a long time. Significantly, Shanaka was the second batsman to score the most runs in the T20 series against India. Suryakumar Yadav was number one on this. Shanaka scored 124 runs at an average of 62 in the three match series. During this, his unemployment rate was 187.88. He hit a total of 5 fours and 11 sixes in the series.
