Ivorian international striker Wilfried Zaha, a former Crystal Palace player, signed for Turkish side Galatasaray on Monday, after thirteen seasons in the Premier League, the Istanbul club announced.
“An agreement was closed (…) for three seasons,” confirmed Galatasaray, the current Turkish league champion, in a statement.
The 30-year-old player, also wanted by Fenerbahçe, will receive 4.35 million euros per season (out of 4.8 million dollars), in addition to a signing bonus of 2.33 million euros, Galatasaray said.
Except for fifteen games with the colors of Manchester United and Cardiff City between 2013 and 2014, Zaha has remained faithful to Crystal Palace since his professional start in 2010.
With the South London team he scored 90 goals in 458 games.
The Ivorian could coincide in the Galatasaray attack with the Argentine Mauro Icardi, whose definitive transfer from Paris SG to the Turkish club after a season on loan seems very close, according to the Turkish press.
He will also play Congolese international and former Villarreal player Cédric Bakambu, who signed for Galatasaray last Sunday.
