Wiggins gets vaccinated on time

Canadian forward Andrew Wiggins has received the coronavirus vaccine in time to begin the NBA preseason on Monday with the rest of the Golden State Warriors roster, coach Steve Kerr announced on Sunday. “Andrew has been vaccinated“announced the technician.

Wiggins’ initial reluctance went against the restrictions of the San Francisco Department of Public Health, which recently announced that anyone 12 years and older must be fully vaccinated to attend indoor events.

Wiggins stated last Monday that was his problem if he lost part of his salary to each game to stop playing with the Warriors for not being vaccinated. Wiggins asked the NBA for a religious exemption to justify his decision not to get the vaccine, but the league rejected it.

The San Francisco Department of Public Health has chosen October 13 as the deadline for local businesses to have all their staff vaccinated. The regular season begins on October 21 and Wiggins’ team will debut that day against the Los Angeles Clippers.. Kerr said this Sunday that with the Canadian, the Golden State team has already immunized all its players and coaches.
